About Us

This collection illustrates the changes which have occurred to the town’s built heritage and landscape over the past 150 years, whilst also recording people’s lives and work over that period; images record for example royal visits, the Frodsham Buttermarket, changes in costume, means of transport, local gardens and houses and in particular, Castle Park House and gardens.

Donations or copies of images will be gratefully accepted. We would be very happy to receive period pictures either of people or the locality to add to the website archive for public and private research. You may contact us by email clicking on

A Heritage Lottery funded grant enabled us to digitise our collection of photographs and store them at the Cheshire Record Office.
The late Pam Hall initiated our own website so that funds could be raised to continue to develop our archive.
This site is dedicated to her memory.
